Bay County-Proposals for the sale of the site for the current Panama City Bay County International Airport were revealed on Thursday. Four companies turned in bids for the 713 acres of the land. Proposals were due last week. The current site is located off Highway 390 in Panama City. The proposed site for the future airport is on 4,000 acres in West Bay. Insurance credit for strengthening home to double for many
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Oct. 5, 2006 — Many Florida homeowners will get larger property insurance discounts — about double what they now receive — for improvements aimed at avoiding hurricane damage under a rule approved Tuesday by Gov. Jeb Bush and the Cabinet.
Currently, state insurance regulators have a list of ”suggested” discounts for how large of a break homeowners should receive when they make improvements such as adding hurricane shutters, stronger shingles or clips or straps that secure the roof to the walls. Went 20 miles west of the Panama City, St. Andrews Bay pass and the jetties.
BEAUTIFUL day on the water. Seas 1-2, wind west northwest 5-10 mph mostly 5.
Water temp 82F, air temp 85F.
Fished natural bottom anywhere from 3-6 miles out. Chummed with cut cigar
minnows. Bait was cut squid. Double hook rigg was the most effective. Caught
3 legal keeper red snapper, 1 very large trigger fish keeper, 1 throw back King, very
