1.11.06 » Red Snapper Fishing-Gulf Of Mexico-Last Day of Snapper Season!

Awesome day on the water! The snapper fishing was slow for keeper size…one keeper snapper but the red grouper made up for the lack of snapper! Caught 2 reds, released one. Caught some nice trigger fish too! Also caught one shark.

 

 

Water conditions were 2-3 foot waves subsiding to 1-2 foot waves. Air temp 80 degrees…ya gotta love that! Fished with cut bait squid-double hook rigg, chummed with old cigar minnows.
