Hi and good day,
On local TV last night they reported the publishing of a new web site operated by the State of Florida. The web site helps interested home owners and prospective home owners compare property insurance rates through out the State of Florida by county.
At this time it is somewhat limited because the average rates listed on the page are for the following structure:
A 5-year old, Florida concrete block home, with a current replacement value of $150,000, a $500 non-hurricane
deductible, a 2% hurricane deductible, no claims, and no wind mitigation discounts.
Granted this is limiting however, my understanding is that the site is a work on progress and they will be adding scenarios for higher priced homes.
Go here to Compare Florida Property Insurance Rates.
Enjoy!
Have a GREAT day!
