Good day to all,
Yesterday was the official ground breaking for the Panama City- Bay County International Airport. Approximately 1000 people in attendance.

There is a lot of speculation as to whether or not the airport will stimulate real estate sales in the area. I think it is possible. We may see some investors come back into the market as a result of the airport contruction.

It is important to note that this market is still a very strong buyer’s market. We are encouraging our buyers to purchase now if they have LONG range buy and hold strategies. Prices are still coming down for nearly all property types. Timing where the bottom will be is very difficult so the decision to buy can rest with the comfort level of the buyer and where they perceive the market to be overall.

Would you rather buy when prices are coming down or wait until they bottom out? Then buy when prices are going up? How will you know if they have hit bottom? You will only know where the bottom is when you start seeing prices go up!

All I can say is there are some VERY good deals out there right now. From our experience the current Sellers that are having to sell in a Buyer’s market have priced their properties correctly and the buyers that are taking advantage of this (with a long term approach in their investment plan) are getting good deals.
