From June 13 to August 2, 2008, Florida’s newest seasonal attraction will spring to life at Frank Brown Park near Pier Park, bringing a dazzling three-ring aerial and stage production to residents and visitors alike.
Circus by the Sea will showcase the renowned Florida State University (FSU) Flying High Circus, celebrating 60 years of spellbinding entertainment. Circus by the Sea will also debut the area’s first circus camp, which include lessons in a wide variety of thrilling circus performance skills such as trapeze, juggling, acrobatics and balance.
The colorful, air-conditioned Big Top will feature nightly performances beginning June 13 at Frank Brown Park and will run six days a week (Monday through Saturday) through August 2. Audiences will enjoy an evening of jaw-dropping routines rivaling any professional troupe, with occasional special guest performances. During Fourth of July weekend, Circus by the Sea will host matinee performances on
July 4 and July 5, beginning at 3 p.m.
Admission is $24 for adults, $16 for children (ages 4-16) and free for children under 4 years old.
Directions: From Hwy. 98 (Back Beach Rd.) and Hwy 79 proceed east a couple of blocks. Frank Brown Park will be on your left. Turn left (north) to enter the Frank Brown Park.
