Hi folks,
There is good news in the condo sales market here in Panama City Beach. Since January sales have continued to increase. According to the Bay County MLS there were 26 condo sales in January and in April there were 58. Currently the absorption rate is just above 2 years which isn’t too bad.
We have at the current sales rate 2 years of inventory on the market. That is not too bad at all if you consider that there were nearly 5 years of inventory on the market in January of 2009.
Condo prices for this same period continue to decline, however. The May numbers should be out in a few days and I will get those to you. I just wanted to pass this info along as I noticed it this morning while working in the MLS.
